Why did God not stop Eve from eating the fruit in the garden?
This question has always lingered in my mind and i have not been able to face it because…… what if i don't like the answer? But when got the courage to seek out the answer, my heavenly father did not disappoint.
In Genesis 1:26 God said “let us make mankind in our own image, in our likeness, so that THEY may rule over…..
So then, God left himself out of the rulership government leadership of earth. Remember, this was a kingdom set up with man as king ( hence Jesus is King of kings). This was not a democracy, dictatorship or anything else it was a kingdom given to mankind as an expansion of the kingdom of heaven.
Now, since God can never violate His word, Even if it means killing you, he had to let Adam and Eve as kings, decide for for themselves. And thus the fall. Therefore, you can say that the fall of mankind was due to the faithfulness of God.
And because of His love for mankind, God went to great lengths to redeem His people. The Trinity itself, would be separated, for His love for man.
Dr. Myles Munroe explains this beautifully in his book God’s Big Idea: Reclaiming God’s Original Purpose for Your Life
Get the book, read it and let me know what you think.
